Mara Sheban

Mara Sheban works directly with the Head of Distribution & Business Affairs to support all aspects of distribution at Sandbox Films. She has a passion for community-led distribution and specializes in non-theatrical screenings and impact strategy. Previously, Mara worked in Chicago creating short-form film content for the Field Museum and various environmental organizations, and began her work in impact strategy at the documentary production company, Kindling Group. Since moving to New York in 2021, she’s led community outreach and strategic company partnerships in the nonprofit sector. She holds a BA from the College of Wooster in Geology, with a career focus of making science engaging and accessible to all audiences.
